MCP overview
The Visamundi MCP server gives partners hosted MCP access to two kinds of data:
- Connect visa catalog data from the Visamundi API
- Partner portal data, such as B2B travel groups, referred applications, invoices, processing load, delivery windows, and affiliate performance
The server is built for AI clients such as Cursor and Claude. Access stays narrow on purpose:
- each partner uses their own MCP API key
- each key exposes only the tools you enable for it in the partner portal
- portal reads are always scoped to your company behind that key
Authentication model
Section titled “Authentication model”Partners opt in from the partner portal and create one or more MCP credentials when they are ready. Keys are:
- not created automatically during onboarding
- shown in plaintext once at creation time
- stored securely on the server side
- revocable at any time from the partner portal
Your data only
Section titled “Your data only”Travel groups, referred applications, invoices, and related portal information are always limited to your company. You cannot browse or infer another partner’s cases through MCP.
Portal vocabulary
Section titled “Portal vocabulary”- Travel group means a B2B case created in the partner portal’s Travel Groups section.
- Referred application means an application generated through the partner’s affiliate links.
- MCP uses the same words as the portal, including separate tools for travel groups and referred applications.
How it relates to the API
Section titled “How it relates to the API”The MCP server sits alongside the REST API and widget. The API remains the right choice when you are building deterministic application code. MCP is the right choice when you want an AI client to discover and call Visamundi tools conversationally.
