Travel advisories overview

A second, separate widget: a live board of travel advisories from 5 foreign ministries — the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and France. It shows one card per destination with a rounded flag, a headline risk level — the average of the ministries’ normalized ratings, rounded to the nearest level — and a badge per ministry with its own rating, each linking to the official advisory.

Unlike the visa widget, this one isn’t about a single traveller’s requirement — it’s a country-risk board built on official government guidance, aggregated into the Visamundi referential.

Each ministry publishes its own scale, so the referential normalizes every advisory to a common 1–4 level (the original wording is always one click away). The widget colour-codes each one:

LevelEnglishFrançaisColour
1Exercise normal precautionsVigilance normaleGreen
2Exercise increased cautionVigilance renforcéeAmber
3Reconsider travelDéconseillé sauf raison impérativeOrange
4Do not travelFormellement déconseilléRed

Governments don’t always agree — that’s the point. Each card carries a badge per covering ministry (US · CA · DE · GB · FR) with its own level, and the widget can be restricted to destinations where every covering ministry agrees (the consensus mode) or to a single ministry’s view. Texts are available in English and French.
